Overview
Beginning the third quarter of 2022, Ring Help undertook a concerted effort to better track work through the use of “quarterly tracking epics.” Quarterly tracking epics are epic tickets created in JIRA to contain “child tickets,” or the standard work tickets used to keep track of standard Ring Help tasks (new articles, audits, initiatives, etc.) during a quarter. The number of child tickets in the tracking epics should match the number of deliverables for the quarter.
The following image is an epic ticket setup for the Localization team. The same system of epic/child tickets is used for Ring Help tickets.

Note that Ring help epic tickets are updated every quarter and their CSHC-XXXX number will change accordingly. For example, the following are the epic tickets for Ring Help during Q2 2023:
| Epic ticket # | Q# | Tracking Category | Category definition |
|---|---|---|---|
| CSHC-2071 | Q223 Third Party Tickets | Tasks related to projects done with a third-party such as Lennar Homes or Orra Lighting. | |
| CSHC-2062 | Q223 Subscriptions tickets | Tasks having anything to do with Ring Protect Plan subscriptions including pricing and program details. | |
| CSHC-2069 | Q223 General - URLs/SEO/Audit/General Updates | Tasks relating to SEO improvement or auditing a specific category on Ring Help for improvement or changes. | |
